Community Joint Ventures - Take Advantage Of Private Label Rights

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Sponsored by 200 Master Resell Rights Pack - This $397 Value, Free For a Limited Time

Hi gang, Rick Ostler here from Community Joint Ventures with how to take adavantage of PLR Products. I’m sure you now have PLR products that you have purchased or had the unique opportunity to obtain free through joint venture giveaways. Now…what to do with them.

Take Advantage Of Private Label Rights Products (PLR)

What To Do With All Those Products. If you have private label rights to a product that you downloaded from a giveaway, you can actually use that product as an entry level product for another product that you either created or have PLR, MRR, or resell rights to. If you have private label rights, you can even choose to give that particular product away. Before you do anything at all with a PLR product, make absolutely sure that you read and understand the PLR license agreement. This is vital. If you don’t follow the rules, you can be sued by the creator of the product.

Understanding Private Label Rights (PLR)

Once you fully understand what your rights are, the next thing to do is to change the product. You do not want to distribute or sell a product that is identical to something that others are distributing or selling. Change the title, go through and change some of the text, change all graphics and links within the
product, and of course change the graphic that you will use to promote the product (the ebook cover).

Making these changes is not difficult, but if you find that it is difficult for you, or that you simply do not have the time to deal with it, consider hiring a ghostwriter. Ghostwriters are surprisingly inexpensive, and can get the work done faster than you can in most cases.

Giving Away a PLR Product to Promote another product

If you are giving the product away to promote another product, it doesn’t have to be very long in length. Ten to twenty pages will suffice. If you are selling it as an entry level product, however, you do need to ensure that the product is actually worth more than you intend to sell it for. This may mean that you need to add additional information to the product.

The whole concept here is that in most cases, all of the research has been done for you, and the majority of the work has been done. While this doesn’t give you an instant entry level product, depending on how much work needs to be done to the product, you can have it on the market within twenty-four to forty-eight hours.

Testing using Private Label Rights (PLR) ebooks

You can also use it as an entry level product that is meant to test the waters - or the market. Take that PLR ebook on Geraniums, make sure it has some value to it, and start selling it at an entry level price. See how well it does. If it doesn’t do well at all, you will know that this may not be a profitable market for you, and
you will save yourself a great deal of time, effort, and money by not creating a Geranium product.

On the other hand, you may find that there is a huge demand in the Geranium niche. You can use the product to verify that, build a list of people interested in Geraniums, and get to work on a mid-level or backend product for that market right away!

Community Joint Ventures - Tips for Publicity

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Hi gang, Rick Ostler again from Community Joint Ventures. Publicity is the deliberate attempt to manage the public’s perception of a subject. The subjects of publicity include people (for example, politicians and performing artists), goods and services, organizations of all kinds, and works of art or entertainment.

From a marketing perspective, publicity is one component of promotion. The other elements of the promotional mix are advertising, sales promotion, and personal selling. Promotion is one component of marketing. Here are 10 publicity tips you can use to promote you, your products and services.

1. Introduce yourself with a sound bite - Few people have time to listen to the full story. Use language that will grab and captivate the media, show them your star potential and make them want to move mountains to advance your career.

2. Come from the heart - To successfully promote your product or service: you must honestly believe in what you’re promoting and you can’t fake it.

3. Follow up - The magic formula for getting publicity is follow up, follow up, follow up.

4. Find your uniqueness and capitalize on it - Find out what’s unique about you, what distinguishes you, your product, or service from the crowd. Then, come up with lever and unusual ways to tell the world about it.

5. Headline tips - Aim for headlines that are clear, concise, and make the reader want more information. Write your headlines after you’ve written the story. Keep them short, no more than one line.

6. Get others to spread the word - To build a successful business, you need networks, strategic alliances, etc. to help advance your cause. Everyone you know, hear about, meeting, and do business with is a prospect for your network.

7. Speak before groups - Speaking before groups increases your visibility, reputation, and stature in your industry. It establishes you as an authority in your field, draws media attention, and makes you more attractive to potential customers / clients.

8. Eat, sleep, and breathe publicity - Publicity never sleeps. It’s an ongoing, 24 / 7 process that never stops. Publicity accompanies you everywhere.

9. Media lists - Update your list on an ongoing basis. Unless you keep your list current, you’ll end up wasting time and energy contacting people who have long gone.

10. Trade shows and special events - Trade shows, conferences, and conventions are prime marketing opportunities because everyone is there to make contacts, talk shop, and do business.

Community Joint Ventures - Are You Playing Hide And Seek With Your Customers?

Friday, March 14th, 2008

Hi gang, Rick again from Community Joint Ventures. Don’t hide from your online customers. Yes, one of the advantages of having a website for your business, whether your business is solely on the Internet or if you are a brick and mortar, is that it can do a lot of work for you. It can answer questions for you, increase your exposure, project a certain image, take your orders, earn you money with advertising, sign up your subscribers, inform your customers, etc, etc. But that does not mean that you can hide from your web visitors.

Too many times I see small businesses/online businesses that expect their web sites to do all the work. They make their contact information difficult to find, limit the ways they can be contacted, and/or make it difficult or unattractive for people to contact them. (Big companies are sometimes guilty of this as well. I tried to call Norton just a couple of days ago for a problem that I was having with their software and they wanted to charge me $10.00 to speak to someone.) When you use these kinds of strategies to discourage people from contacting your company you:

Send a message to your web visitors that you would really rather not hear from them.

Lose customers that cannot find their answers on your website. (Even if the info they are looking for is displayed clearly on the page.)

Give the impression that you are a fly by night or not necessarily an above the board business.

Lose out on opportunities to get positive feedback from your customers so you can keep doing more of what you are getting right on your page.

Lose out on opportunities to get negative feedback from your customers so you can fix what you are getting wrong on your page.

Find out what questions people are still having after visiting your page so that you can make that information more available/visible.

Miss out on customers that are simply not comfortable completing their business online.

Highlight your contact information on your page. Make sure your web visitors can find it easily. Sometimes just seeing your phone number on the page is enough to make people feel comfortable enough to do business with you. Make sure you have multiple ways for people to contact you as well.

Having something for everyone will increase the chances that instead of moving on to the next page, they will go ahead and contact you to get their question answered. Use email forms, live chat programs, toll free numbers, and if applicable a physical address.

Every contact with a customer is an opportunity for either learning or earning. Don’t hide from them and you will be able to maximize both.
